THE SISTERS OF MERCIFUL JESUS

The Congregation was founded in 1947 by Fr Michael Sopocko as the answer for the apparition
of Jesus Christ, who ordered St. Faustina among other things, to found the new religious community. The members of this congregation begins each activity to renew the message of:
Jesus I trust in You.
The spirituality of the congregation consists in surrending God’s activity and in trustful accepting
of all the consequences, which such surrending brings. The congregation leads the apostolic activity, trying to answer for the actual needs of the Church. The Sisters work in 17 monastic
houses in Poland and in 16 houses abroad. They lead a hospice, a house of the protection
of life conceived, where they proclaim retreats and catechise.

Each person, who wants to practice mercy, find the source of inner happiness in the activities
of daily life can declare readiness to co-operate. The Sisters will be grateful for aid in the realization of undertaking works.

The sisters will be grateful for any type of assistance to help them carry out the works they have undertaken. If you feel a religious vocation awakening in your heart, we invite you to get in contact with the General House of the Congregation, where postulants spend their first stage of formation before preparing to take religious vows as novices in Nowe Kurowo, some 40 kilometers away.

The Shrine of Divine Mercy in Mysliborz is a place of prayer, quietude, night vigils and weekend retreats. The shrine contains 50 beds in single, double and dormitory-style rooms, a kitchen with full service, a dining room which seats 100, a chapel, a conference room, and a church (a separate building). There is a lake nearby for swimming. The Shrine is located 200 meters from the PKS
bus station. Requests for intercessory prayer may be addressed to the Congregation of the Sisters.

We invite pilgrims to visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy and the grave of the Servant of God Fr. Michael Sopocko in in Bialystok, Radzyminska street 1. Close by, on Poleska street 42, is found the house where Fr. Michael Sopocko lived out his final years and in which he died. The Sisters of Merciful Jesus take care of the house, which contains a room with Fr. Sopocko’s personal belongings and a chapel where visiting priests can offer Mass. The sisters will share about the life and accomplishments of the Servant of God Fr. Michael Sopocko and take part in prayer with pilgrims.
